Tuscaloosa Police officers are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run that left one pedestrian hospitalized with serious injuries early Sunday.

The incident occurred around midnight Sunday on Greensboro Avenue near the 26th Street intersection. The pedestrian, 55, was walking north on Greensboro, when a northbound driver struck him and continued driving.

Witnesses  called 911 at 12:07 a.m., but were unable to provide a good description of the vehicle.
The victim was rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center. He is still being treated for his injuries as of publishing.
