The number of people wounded in a west Tuscaloosa shooting has risen to eight, and the FBI has set up a digital tip line asking anyone who was there to send investigators photos and video.

As the Thread first reported, the Tuscaloosa Police and Violent Crimes Unit responded to the 2600 block of 22nd Street around 10:48 p.m. Saturday after reports of multiple people shot. Seven victims were identified initially. An eighth arrived at a hospital Sunday afternoon to be treated for a graze wound.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the VCU, said Saturday that three of the victims had serious injuries but all had survived the night and were considered stable Sunday.

VCU investigators are working the case with help from the FBI, who has a field office in Birmingham.

Those federal investigators are asking anyone who attended the event where the shooting happened, or who was in the surrounding area Saturday night, to turn over photographs, cellphone video, surveillance footage or any other information.

The FBI's tip line lets the public upload files and information directly to investigators. It is at fbi.gov/tuscaloosashooting. People with files too large for the form can call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
