A Centreville teenager was killed early Sunday morning in a single-car accident on Alabama Highway 219, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, who also responded to two deadly accidents in Tuscaloosa County Sunday.

Trooper Reginal King, an ALEA spokesman, said the victim was riding in a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by another teenager.

The truck left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned around one mile south of Centreville.

The teen passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck. King said emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene of the accident.

The teenager who was driving the truck was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the cause of the deadly wreck, and no further details were available Sunday night.

Two hours before the tragedy in Centreville, a teenager was also killed in a single-car accident on Highway 82 east of Tuscaloosa.

Later Sunday morning in Tuscaloosa County, a Vance man was killed in a head-on collision on Alabama Highway 216.

None of the three victims who died Sunday were wearing seatbelts, King said.
