What Did LaNorris Sellers Learn from Alabama Game?
South Carolina was one play away from defeating the Alabama Crimson Tide last season, as LaNorris Sellers threw up a prayer into the endzone, where Alabama cornerback Domani Jackson was waiting to kill the rest of the clock and help Alabama escape with a two-point victory.

Now, in 2025, Sellers and the Gamecocks get the Crimson Tide at home in Williams-Brice Stadium. Sellers had recently said that despite the 9-3 record last season, Alabama is still Alabama. He was asked to explain his comments during South Carolina's time at the microphone during SEC Media Days.
"I think it just comes from me playing them. I've seen them face-to-face, just playing their defense, their defensive line was strong," Sellers said on facing Alabama last season. "They were all fast, their linebackers were super physical, DBs, they did their job well, disguising well. They had a good scheme."
What does Sellers take into the Alabama game this season after coming up just short of not only a victory in Tuscaloosa, but an appearance in the College Football Playoffs as well?
"Just building on what we did last year," Sellers said. "Limiting those plays that lost us the game, those two to three plays. Two to three plays can make a difference."
The Gamecocks and the Crimson Tide will play on October 25 in Williams-Brice Stadium.
