Investigators responded to a shooting in East Tuscaloosa just after midnight on Saturday, June 6.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department received a call from a resident on Virginia Drive at approximately 12:20 a.m., sharing that gunshots were heard in the area.

Tuscaloosa County Violent Crimes Unit Co-Commander Marty Sellers said one person was injured in the shooting, sustaining minor hand injuries.

No further details have been released by the VCU.

A video posted to social media indicated the shooting happened after a party held near Virginia Drive off of Crescent Ridge Road East in Tuscaloosa.
