A Berry man was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Highway 69 late Monday evening, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers have confirmed.
Reginal King, a spokesperson for the ALEA State Troopers in West Alabama, said the crash occurred when Dewayne Fred Earnest, 54, was driving his 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle on Alabama 69.
King said Earnest struck a 2020 Dodge Challenger driven by a 38-year-old Tuscaloosa woman just after 11:45 p.m.
Earnest sustained serious injuries, and King said he and the driver of the Challenger were both transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment. Earnest was pronounced dead a short time later.
King said the crash occurred along Highway 69 near the 138 mile marker, two miles south of Tuscaloosa.
