
New Raising Cane’s on McFarland Opens Next Week, 20 to Win Free Food for a Year
The grand opening for Tuscaloosa's new standalone Raising Cane's on McFarland Boulevard is set for Monday, August 24, with a full slate of opening-day festivities and giveaways planned.
The new restaurant, located at 1241 McFarland Boulevard East at the corner of 13th Street, will be the chain's second location in Tuscaloosa, joining its long-running campus location.
As the Thread previously reported, the restaurant opens as part of a seven-location nationwide expansion tied to the brand's 30th anniversary.

According to a press release, doors to the new restaurant will open at 10 a.m. Monday, but festivities begin earlier.
From 8 to 9 a.m., customers 13 and older can enter a drawing to be the "Lucky 20" for get free Cane's for a year, with winners announced before the restaurant opens -entrants must be present to win.
The first 100 customers will also receive a Cane's branded hat and a free box combo card while supplies last.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce and community partners will precede the opening, with the University of Alabama's beloved mascot Big Al appearing alongside a live DJ.
Raising Cane's is also donating $2,000 to the West Alabama Food Bank as part of the celebration.

"For more than a decade, we've been fortunate to serve this city through our campus restaurant, and we're excited to continue growing alongside the community. We look forward to building lasting relationships, supporting local organizations, creating new jobs, and becoming a place where friends, families, and students can gather for years to come."
The new location will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight.
Raising Cane's, founded in 1996 by Todd Graves, operates more than 1,000 restaurants worldwide and plans to open nearly 100 new locations in 2026, including its first restaurant in Mexico this year and its first in the United Kingdom in early 2027.
