Closure to Impact McFarland Boulevard Traffic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama Thursday Night
Planned construction work will close one of Tuscaloosa's busiest thoroughfares tonight.
The Alabama Department of Transportation will be installing signage at the new singe point urban interchange on McFarland Boulevard at the crimson arch bridge on Interstate 20/59.
Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray Allen says the closure is expected to begin at 10 p.m. tonight.
"The westbound lanes will be closed for a few hours and then they will shift to the eastbound lanes to do the same thing," Allen said.
ALDOT has until 5 a.m. to complete the work; however, the contractor does not anticipate it will take that long. Access to the interstate will not be affected at this time.
