A former Crimson Tide standout now protecting the NFL's highest-paid quarterback will auction the customised cleats he wears in this Sunday's game to raise money for a Tuscaloosa nonprofit close to his heart.

Offensive Guard Tyler Booker shined at Alabama before the Dallas Cowboys picked him in the first round of the 2025 draft to come to Texas and help the o-line keep Dak Prescott safe.

This Sunday, Booker and the Cowboys will face a whole host of other Alabama stars when the Philadelphia Eagles come to AT&T Stadium for an afternoon game.

As part of the NFL's My Cause My Cleats campaign, Booker has designed a pair of one-of-a-kind black-and-blue shoes he'll wear Sunday, which feature the logo and motto of Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama.

This local nonprofit pairs adult volunteers with children six and older who may need an extra role model in their lives, aiming to have a lasting, positive impact on their development, and has a special relationship with Alabama Athletics. Booker, Jihaad Campbell and many other current and former Alabama players have volunteered to spend an hour each week with a Little Brother or Sister for a full calendar year.

Whitney A. Jamison, a spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Alabama, said Booker was in town earlier this month for the LSU-Alabama game. They reconnected and arranged a surprise visit with Booker's Little Brother, Daylen, at a local school, where the two shared a tearful reunion two years after the nonprofit matched them.

"It was emotional and exceeded every dream and expectation that I imagined when they saw each other," Jamison said. "It was amazing."

Their bond is real and continues to this day, even as Booker begins his professional career. Jamison said it has also inspired others to follow in his footsteps since this partnership began two years ago. She said right now, more than two dozen football, baseball and volleyball players, and a handful of rowers, are matched with local kids through the nonprofit, including Ty Simpson and all three other football team captains.

When My Cleats My Cause gave Booker the opportunity to design custom shoes, auction them off and help a cause important to him, he jumped at the chance to help BBBSWA.

So after facing Jalen Hurts, Devonte Smith, Landon Dickerson, Jalen Waddle, Campbell and other former Bama stars playing for the Eagles, Booker will auction those cleats off and donate the proceeds to BBBSWA.

"Being a Big Brother made me a better person, I fully support their goal of helping children realise their potential," Booker told the NFL.

Because they can't benefit duplicate causes, Campbell will donate money raised by his own cleats to the Big Brothers Big Sisters in his hometown in New Jersey.

"They're such good people, you can tell they were raised right, to care about giving back to the community," Jamison said. "The fact that they're continuing to do that, even on this new platform and stage they're on, which comes with all new kinds of stress - they're still handling it. They're giving back to the community and still thinking about Tuscaloosa even though they're not here anymore. It's pretty remarkable."

So whether you're cheering for the Cowboys, the Eagles or neither this Sunday, check out Tyler Book's cleats to see the logo of a local nonprofit and know that when they're auctioned off in February, the proceeds will come right back here to help match more children with Big Brothers like him.
