2 Men Charged With Murder, Closing 14-Month Case in Tuscaloosa
A 14-month investigation closed this week with the arrest of two men, both charged with murder for a homicide discovered last summer in Tuscaloosa.
Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said officers were called to an apartment on 17th Street in Tuscaloosa in September 2024 after a resident there had been found dead.

The victim, 52-year-old Kevin Washington, had been missing for several days, and after he was discovered, a VCU investigation suggested he was murdered.
"No arrests were able to be made initially, but the investigation has been continuously active since that day," Kennedy said on Wednesday. "After 13 months of investigation, multiple investigative leads were confirmed by forensic testing. Warrants were obtained on two individuals, and they have now been served. Jammie Lee Eatmon, age 63, and Lee Anthony Luscious, age 56, have now been charged with Murder and committed to the jail with no bond."
Washington's September homicide made last year the worst in modern Tuscaloosa history by number, and several more took place after.
Homicides have declined this year in city limits and throughout Tuscaloosa County, though those numbers rose sharply after one double homicide in October and another in Tuscaloosa this month.
