
Tuscaloosa Jail Inmate Back in Custody After Brief Thursday Escape
An inmate is back in the Tuscaloosa County Jail after a short-lived escape Thursday evening.
A spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the Thread that a jail inmate briefly escaped custody through the Sally Port, the area where detention deputies load and offload inmates.
The inmate was recaptured within minutes and returned to jail.

The TCSO rep said additional charges related to the escape are likely to be filed. The inmate's identity has not yet been released, and more information may follow.
