Tuscaloosa Memorial Day Ceremony Moved Inside Mall Over Rain Risk
A Memorial Day ceremony planned in Tuscaloosa will be moved inside the nearby mall due to rain concerns, organizers said on Friday.
As the Thread reported, the Tuscaloosa County Park and Recreation Authority is planning its annual Memorial Day observance this Monday at 9 a.m., and the plan was to be at Veterans Memorial Park next to the University Mall.

Jay Logan, a PARA spokesperson, said the likelihood of storms has led PARA to hold the program inside the mall instead, in the Atrium Entrance near the Men's Belk store.
The program is free and open to the public. Dr. Andrew M. Del Gaudio, Department Commander, is the Keynote speaker.
Maps and additional event information are available on the PARA website.
