Sarah Ann Banks (July 2nd, 1941 – April 27th, 2022)

Sarah Ann Banks, age 80, of Northport, Ala., passed away at her residence on April 27th, 2022.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Edward Spain officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30th, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel North.

Banks was preceded in death by her parents, Erfred and Anita Richardson; and brother, Sonny Richardson.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Patrick Banks of Northport, Ala.; daughter, Sarah Beth Scarbrough (Tracy); son, Joshua Banks (Lisa); sister, Anita Jean Bryce (Jim); grandchildren, Andrew Scarbrough (Rylee), Adam Scarbrough (Karlene), Aaron Banks, and Noah Banks; and great-grandchildren, Wilkes, Oliver, and Lucca Scarbrough.

Sarah Ann Banks was born July 2, 1941 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She married the love of her life, Billy, in September 1959 and they were by each other’s sides for 62 years until she went to her Heavenly home. She dedicated her life to her family and her ministry, “Where Eagles Fly,” which would spread the Word wide, from the USA to Africa to Europe. Her vision and desire were to see souls saved and lives changed because of Jesus Christ. Her earthly presence will be greatly missed by her friends and family, but we all know that we will definitely meet again, and we rejoice for that day.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Scarbrough, Andrew Scarbrough, Adam Scarbrough, Mike Ramsey, Aaron Banks, and Noah Banks.

Honorary pallbearers are Amedisys Hospice, and doctors and nurses of Northport Medical Center.
