Ollie Fayne Snipes (March 18th, 2026)

Ollie Fayne Snipes of Cottondale passed away at Hospice of West Alabama on March 18, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Grants Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Pate officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Houston Snipes, daughter; Sandy Snipes Bockemehl, parents; John and Ollie Singley, sisters; Sue Smelley, Johnnie Fields, and her twin brother; Wayne Singley and special family friends Danny and Angie Dockery.

Survivors include her daughters; Susan Panter (Mike), Sharon Booker, son; William H. "Billy" Snipes, Jr. (Pam), 12 grandchildren; Timothy Johnson, MD (Kaitlin), Josh Sherrill (Ashley), Keith Booker, Matthew Johnson, Courtney Booker Gallant, Lee Snipes, Amanda Johnson Burnette (Matt), Jonathon Sherrill, MD. (Britney), Jennifer Snipes Soper (Brian), Jordan Sherrill (Hannah), Lauren Booker, Andrew Snipes (Jessie), 23 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews whom she thought the world of, and special friends Bill and Nan Hardy.

Pallbearer will be her grandson.
