Tragic News For Alabama Student Missing In Barcelona
El Periodico and other Spanish media outlets are reporting that the body of missing University of Alabama student James "Jimmy" Gracey has been recovered from waters off of the beach area where he was last seen early Tuesday morning.
Catalan Police said the body was found and removed in front of Port Olympic at 6PM Barcelona time. Police said it was found in the water, about 4 meters (about 13 feet) deep, but the body has not been officially identified yet.

Barcelona Police had acknowledged earlier today that they had found the 20-year-old's wallet floating in the water. They mounted a search via air and police divers that began this morning and ended with tragically finding his body.
The UA junior was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity at UA and was using his spring break to visit brothers who are taking classes in Spain. He disappeared in the early morning hours of Tuesday from the Shoko Club he and his friends had been visiting. Security video showed him leaving the club with an unidentified person.
Spanish authorities had released a statement yesterday with the theory that Gracey had met foul play.
Fraternity brothers, family and friends have been in Barcelona conducting their own search as well as passing out flyers to get the story of his disappearance in front of as many people as possible.
The U.S. State Department had contacted Spanish authorities, and The White House had released a statement saying they were monitoring the situation.
More information is expected to be released in Spain later today or tomorrow morning.
