Chick-fil-A Tuscaloosa South Reopens After Renovations Lasting Two Weeks
After a few weeks of renovations, the Chick-fil-A on Old Greensboro Road off Skyland Boulevard in South Tuscaloosa reopened Thursday.
Chick-fil-A Tuscaloosa South was closed starting on Monday, March 2, and reopened for regular lunch hours at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 19.

A Chick-fil-A representative detailed the renovations on March 2 to the Tuscaloosa Thread, saying they are overhauling the drive-through and point-of-sale system. Instead of the typical drive-through window, CFA Tuscaloosa South will now feature a door opening, similar to the one at the restaurant on McFarland Boulevard, which has the same owner and operator.
The drive-through has also expanded, with two lanes around the building instead of one. Both lanes will be used for regular drive-through ordering, rather than one serving as a mobile order lane, as at the store on McFarland Boulevard. The entrance to the store was moved to the back of the building, which previously was a gravel parking lot for employees.
The point-of-sale system was also revamped to make transactions quicker and easier, reducing the time customers spend in the drive-through line. Chick-fil-A Tuscaloosa South, just off of Skyland Boulevard, will return to its normal hours of operation on Friday, March 20, according to the spokesperson.
