Kenneth Hugh Jones (April 5th, 1946 – July 12th, 2023)

Kenneth Hugh "Ken" Jones, age 77 of Northport, passed away July 12, 2023 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, Ala. Graveside services will be held at Big Hurricane Cemetery in Brookwood. The time and date will be announced later.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Langston Jones and Edna Jones Oswalt; brothers, Delbert Jones, Ted Jones, Danny Jones, and Tommy Jones; son, Kenny Jones; daughters, Tammy Smith and Sandra Jones; and granddaughter, Emma Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jones; son, Bradley Shane Jones; sister, Diane Earley (Norman); sister-in-law, Tina Jones; grandchildren, Avery Jones Bonner, Mialeigh Kelly, Landon Smith, and Gabe Smith; several nieces and nephews, and other family members.

Ken grew up in Northport and attended Tuscaloosa County High School. He was married to the love of his life, Martha Jones for 47 years, loved his family, kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and life-long friends. Ken loved to joke around and could make you laugh like no other. He always had to be right! Before retirement, Ken worked for Warrior Roofing, did painting, and often said he was a jack of all trades, but master of none. He had a smile that was contagious. Ken will be missed by everyone that knew him and loved him.

What a celebration and homecoming that awaited him... reunited with his parents, brothers, son, daughters, and granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Hallman, Chad Jackson, Terry Frazier, Marce Bruce, Lil' Marce Bruce, and Brian Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be his family and friends, and Dr. Debra Davis.
