Voter Restoration Forum and Drive Set for Tuscaloosa
A voter restoration event aimed at helping community members learn more about voting rights is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, in Tuscaloosa.
The Restore My Vote Voter Restoration Forum and Drive will begin at 5 p.m. at Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church, located at 610 Brooksdale Drive in Tuscaloosa.
According to an event flyer, the forum will focus on voter restoration and educating attendees about their voting rights. The event is being promoted as an opportunity for people to learn more about the process and resources associated with restoring voting eligibility.

Voter restoration is particularly relevant for Alabamians who have lost voting eligibility following certain felony convictions. Under Alabama law, not every felony conviction results in the loss of voting rights, and the process for regaining eligibility can depend on the specific conviction and whether other requirements have been satisfied.
Alabama’s Secretary of State directs people seeking information about restoration following a disqualifying felony conviction to the Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles. The state also provides voter registration information for eligible residents through its Alabama Votes resources.
The Sept. 13 Tuscaloosa event will provide a local setting for residents interested in learning more about those issues and understanding their rights.
The flyer encourages people who have questions about their voting status or the restoration process to attend the forum. The event comes as organizations across Alabama continue voter education and registration efforts ahead of the November 2026 general election.
The Restore My Vote Voter Restoration Forum and Drive is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Those interested in attending can find the church at 610 Brooksdale Drive in Tuscaloosa.
