Stillman Calls Alumni Back to Campus for Flag Football

Stillman College alumni from across generations are being called back to “The Yard” this November as the college continues celebrating 150 years of history, tradition and Tiger pride.

Stillman College and Get To The Yard (GTTY) are partnering to present the 2026 Alumni Flag Football event on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa.

The event will take place during Stillman’s Founders Week, scheduled for Nov. 8-15, and is being promoted as an opportunity to bring alumni back to campus outside of the college’s traditional homecoming celebration.

Organizers are calling for both “old school” and “new school” Tigers to participate in what is expected to be a large alumni gathering centered around Stillman’s 150th anniversary.

While flag football will serve as a centerpiece of the Nov. 14 event, organizers say the gathering is intended to celebrate more than competition. The event will recognize the college’s legacy and provide an opportunity for former students from different eras to reconnect with classmates and the Stillman community.

Alumni are being encouraged to begin making plans now, contact former classmates and organize groups to return to Tuscaloosa for the celebration.

Organizers have also launched an alumni roll call on social media, asking former students to share their class years, tag their Stillman classmates and see which graduating class can have the largest representation during the event.

The alumni flag football game will be one of the special events surrounding Stillman’s milestone 150th year and Founders Week celebration.
