Tuscaloosa Police Motorcycle Patrolman Hit and Hurt During Saturday Night Escort
A Tuscaloosa Police motorcycle officer is expected to be okay after he was struck by a truck while working an escort route in the Tuscaloosa area Saturday night.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, told the Thread that a TPD motorcycle officer was at the end of a police escort and was involved in a collision with a pickup truck.

The accident happened near the intersection of 10th Avenue and 13th Street not far from Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Taylor said there were bystanders nearby who were trained nurses, and they were able to provide medical assistance until paramedics arrived and transported the officer to Tuscaloosa's DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries that Taylor said are not life-threatening.
The University of Alabama Police Department is investigating the collision, Taylor said.
