Eric Stanford Takes The Helm As Director Of DCH Laboratory
DCH welcomes a new director of the Laboratory.
Eric Stanford, D. HSc, will oversee laboratory functions at both DCH Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center.
Stanford was previously the operations manager of the Core Laboratory and Emergency Department laboratories at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He helped support diagnostic testing in the main VUMC Laboratory and also provided cross-support for regional hospitals and satellite laboratories across Tennessee.

Stanford earned a doctor of health science degree with a concentration in health care and hospital administration from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He then completed his master’s degree in health care administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Stanford holds several bachelor’s degrees from Auburn University in biology, medical technology, and laboratory technology.
Stanford is published in several professional publications such as The Journal of Applied Laboratory Medicine. He's also participated on various committees of the Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute.
