The ride has been a very successful one for DCH Health System in a multitude of ways.

Keefer has led a renewed and refreshed medical staff with better outcomes and a huge shift in perception for the brand.

In addition to her upcoming anniversary in Tuscaloosa, Keefer is also delivering the commencement address on Friday, August 1, at Shelton State Community College.

The 2025 summer commencement for Shelton State students is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am inside the Martin Campus Gymnasium.

Shelton State President Dr. Jonathan Koh will make remarks after a short program and will follow that with his introduction of the speaker, Katrina Keefer.

The month for the impactful and inspirational DCH CEO also includes the official anniversary marking the start of Keefer's fourth year in Tuscaloosa at DCH.

Keefer has an impressive track record, even before DCH, with roles at Augusta University Health, where she led initiatives such as a freestanding imaging center along with an air ambulance program.

The community of both employees at DCH and residents of West Alabama looks forward to the future with Keefer overseeing DCH for, as most people hope, many years to come.
