William “Larry” Howell (September 2nd, 1944 – May 10th, 2023)

William “Larry” Howell, age 78, of Northport, Alabama, passed away May 10, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama.

Celebration of Life Services with Military Honors following will be 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Northport with Dr. John Kearns officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Magnolia Chapel North is handling final care.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Jewel Howell; sister, Bootsie Bodiford; and brother, Buddy Howell.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Gayle Howell; daughters, Rene’ Howell, Camille Howell, and Aubrey Blais (Dave); sisters, Pam Howell and Patty Nelson (Sam); grandchildren, Chais Billings (Amanda), Brittany Richardson (Russ), Josh Brown (Rachel), Taylor Blais, Kali Blais, Hannah Blais, and Logan Blais; great-grandchildren, Keira Billings, Noah Billings, Dean Richardson, Georgia Kate Richardson, Beau Brown, and Delilah Dangler; special niece, Carly Turner (Michael); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwayne and Bernie Mann; sisters-in-law, Linda Wright (Denny) and Rachelle Ashey (Alan); brother-in-law, Keith Mann; nieces and nephews-in-law, Travis Crowe (Anne Marie), Heidi Crowe Anderson (Robbie), Christopher Wright, Joshua Wright, Dr. Julia Ashey Bartolotti (Dr. Matthew), Emily Ashey Gravenhorst (Elijah); and seven great-nieces- and nephews-in-law.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Gold Wing Motorcycle Club (Chapter T), Ol’ Colony Golf Course & golf buddies, Rick Trethaway, and West Alabama Bass Club.
