University Manor Murder Suspect Arrested in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit has made an arrest in connection with a Saturday morning shooting at University Manor Apartments.
Units from the Tuscaloosa Police Department were called to the 400 block of 30th place at approximately 12:18 a.m. Saturday, and upon arrival, found 24-year-old Larry Deashean Cameron was unresponsive. Cameron died on the scene.
VCU Commander Captain Jack Kennedy says investigators identified 23-year-old Tobias Nickerson of Tuscaloosa as the primary suspect. Nickerson was charged with Felony Murder and Attempted Murder and was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a yet-to-be-determined bond.
"The investigation continues and additional charges may be brought against other people involved in the incident," Kennedy said.
