Tuscaloosa Police Seek Man Caught on Camera Stealing Gun
Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Police Department are asking for help identifying a man caught on camera stealing a firearm from a parked truck Thursday morning.
In a post to the department's Facebook page, a TPD spokesperson said a home surveillance camera captured about two minutes of footage showing a car pull up to a driveway on University Circle around 3 a.m. Thursday.
A person wearing a hoodie opens the unlocked driver's door of a parked pickup truck and rummages through the vehicle before emerging with a handgun.
The thief then tests the door of another parked vehicle as well as a toolbox in the truck's bed before running away on foot.
TPD shared the entire two-minute video, and asked anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle in which they arrived to immediately contact investigators at 205-349-2121.
