
City of Tuscaloosa to Open Storm Shelters at Noon Saturday, March 15
The City of Tuscaloosa announced it will open several storm shelters at noon on Saturday, March 15, to give residents ample time to prepare for today's approaching high-risk severe weather event.

The following locations will open at noon:
- Alberta School of Performing Arts
- Bryant High School
- McDonald Hughes Community Center
- Northridge High School
- Skyland Elementary School
- University Place Elementary
The storm shelter at the McDonald Hughes Community Center is pet-friendly. Pets should be brought either in a carrying case or kept on a leash to ensure the safety of others.
The City of Tuscaloosa urges residents to have a reliable way to receive weather alerts as well as a plan to keep their families safe.
