The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southeastern Bibb County in central Alabama...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 713 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Heiberger, or 10 miles north of Marion, moving
  northeast at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Talladega National Forest, Trio, Centreville, Ashby, Brierfield
  Ironworks Park, West Centreville, Brent, Marvel, Six Mile, and Bibb
  County Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following
  counties, Blount, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Walker and Winston.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas.

Warning for the following rivers in Alabama...

  Tombigbee River At Demopolis Lock and Dam affecting Hale, Marengo,
   Greene and Sumter Counties.

.Heavy rainfall is forecast later today over Tombigbee River basin 
that is expected to rise into flood stage and a flood warning is now 
in effect for the Tombigbee River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
