Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Saves Puppy from Afternoon Blaze
Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue responded to a house fire Wednesday afternoon, and while there were no injuries from the blaze, a critical rescue did take place.
At around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Engines 1, 5, 8, Truck 31, Battalion 1 and Rescue 21 fought a structure fire at 2623 11th Street near downtown Tuscaloosa.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
A post on the station's Facebook page indicated that there were no injuries. Firefighters did, however, rescue a puppy that was trapped inside the residence.
This story is still developing, as authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
