Northside High Principal Loses Home to Fire During Friday Night Football Game
A Tuscaloosa County high school principal lost his home to a fire Friday night while attending his school's football game, according to a message shared by Northside High School.
Northside said Principal Dr. Madden was at the game watching the team play when he got a call that his house was on fire. He left the field and rushed home, where he discovered he had lost everything. His family was not home at the time and is safe.

In its message, the school described the Northside community as a family and asked for support for the Maddens as they begin the process of rebuilding.
"In the coming days, we will find ways to support them more tangibly, and we will be sure to let the community know how they can help," the school wrote, adding that in the meantime, it was asking the community to keep the family in their thoughts.
The Thread will share information on how the community can support the family once those details are announced.
