Rebecca Moore Strickland, age 75, passed away peacefully and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while under care at Hospice of West Alabama in the early hours of November 26, 2022.

She was born on March 11, 1947.

Services will be held at Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist Church on Friday, December 2, 2022, with visitation from 10 a.m. until 11a.m., funeral at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow the service. Bro. Rick Taylor will officiate with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing.

She was preceded in death by husbands Jimmy Moore and Justin Strickland, parents Ambus and Wilma Jones, brother Phillip Jones, and daughter-in-law Rachael Moore.

She is survived by sons, Jeff (Amy) Moore and Steve (Jamie) Moore; grandchildren, Jeremy (Stephanie) Moore, Kyler Moore, Crystal (Craig) Woods, Chris Wilkins, Stormie Cook, and Ashlyn Cook; sister, Sharon Logan; brother, Johnny Jones, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a lifetime member of Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist Church where she played piano, organ, and sung beautifully. Rebecca was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many and will be greatly missed by many family members, friends, loved ones, and people from the Samantha community.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Christian, Donnie Hallman, Ricky Hitt, Darrol Jones, John Walker, Mike Woods, and Joe Yerby.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist cemetery fund.
