A woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a car on Rice Mine Road Monday night.

Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Broadcast News Director Don Hartley says the accident happened late Monday night on Rice Mine Road near the intersection with New Watermelon Road.

The victim wasn't spotted by the driver until it was too late, and she was struck. The victim was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
