Overturned Truck Closes I-59N in Greene County Monday Morning

One direction of interstate traffic is completely blocked in Greene County on Monday after a commercial vehicle overturned.

Sergeant Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers, said the truck flipped over near Mile Marker 39 on Interstate 59 North at about 8:45 Monday morning.

The wreckage has completely blocked all lanes of traffic there, which is also Interstate 20 East.

King said the blockage will remain for an undetermined abount of time, but ALEA's Highway Patrol Division Troopers are on the scene directing traffic and investigating the wreck.
