Patricia Jane Baker Garyotis, 92, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Dacula, Georgia.

Known as "Pat," she lived a life marked by deep faith, service, and love for her family and community. She was a devoted prayer warrior who was known for her servant's heart, welcoming home, and love of baking. Pat was married 64 years to her beloved husband, Walter (Gary).

Pat spent her childhood in Akron, Alabama, and met Gary in Birmingham. Pat and Gary initially lived in Texas and then spent six years in Paramaribo, Suriname — an experience that reflected their shared courage and sense of adventure — before settling in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she was a loving mother to her children and was actively involved in church (Lakeside Baptist) and community life. In retirement, they moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where Pat continued her involvement in her church (Calvary Baptist), the Tuscaloosa Republican Party and the Tuscaloosa Music Club. In her later years she lived with her daughter, Sandy (Bill), and their children in Buford, Georgia.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Garyotis; her parents, Hobson Brooks and Annie Quarles Baker; sisters Peggy Smith, Hazel True, Jean Mooney, Grace Weeks and Mildred Cooke; and brother Brooks Baker II.

She is survived by her son Corey (Virginia) Garyotis of Pike Road, Alabama; daughters Sandy (Bill) Donatucci of Buford, Georgia, Sherry (Phil) Shore of Dallas, Texas, and Karen Roberts of Fredericksburg, Texas; six grandchildren Connor Garyotis of Jackson, Florida, Kyle (Elizabeth) Donatucci of Kennesaw, Georgia, Noah and Ashley Donatucci of Buford, Georgia, Jason (Carmen) Healy of Sterling, Illinois, and Derek Healy of Chicago, Illinois; and five great-grandchildren Cecilia Donatucci and Laurie, Cody, Liam and Jena Healy.

A visitation will be held June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a service at 10:30 a.m. at Magnolia South Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse Memorial Fund.
