Alabama’s Runoff Elections Are Just Around The Corner
Almost lost in the chaos surrounding Alabama's congressional redistricting court battle and the scheduled August 11special election are the June 16th runoffs. Several statewide races are still to be decided and some important voter deadlines are fast approaching.
Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen is reminding voters that county absentee election managers must receive mail-in absentee ballot applications a week from today, Tuesday June 9.
June 11th is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot in person.
Absentee ballots being returned in person must be received by the county absentee election manager by close of business on June 15. Absentee ballots returned by mail must be received no later than noon on Election Day, June 16.
Allen recommends mailing in your absentee ballot application and absentee ballots as soon as possible before the deadline for county absentee election managers to receive and process them.
