Extended Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week Returns This Month, Bringing Special Dishes and Discounts
Dozens of locally owned and loved restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and more are rolling out special dishes and discounts later this month as the newly extended Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week returns.
Since 2023, Visit Tuscaloosa and area partners have put on this annual celebration of the best food and drinks in our corner of West Alabama and the hands that prepare them.
For 2026, the weeklong event has been extended to 10 days and will run from June 18 to 27, 2026, during which participating businesses will offer exclusive menu items, promotional discounts and deals. The presenting sponsor this year is Huntington Bank, formerly known as Cadence Bank.

The Tuscaloosa Thread will also be publishing magazine-style features highlighting a handful of local favorites - you can see stories from years past at this landing page here.
“Being named a Top Culinary Town in the South” in 2025 by Local Palate is a testament to what our restaurant community has built here,” said Kelsey Rush, President and CEO of Visit Tuscaloosa. “Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week is our chance to celebrate that recognition. It’s also a reminder that dining local boosts the economy, sustains jobs, and deepens the sense of place that makes Tuscaloosa and our community special.”
The tourism bureau said it anticipates at least 50 restaurants and other businesses will participate in Restaurant Week this year, each offering a unique deal or dish later this month. The list will include longtime culinary staples, as well as some of the newest places that have opened in the area.
“Our restaurants have told us they see a quantifiable difference during Tuscaloosa Restaurant Week, and that matters, especially when summer can be a slower period for our industry,” said Josh Rivers, Director of Community Partnerships and Group Tour Experiences at Visit Tuscaloosa. “We’re grateful to Huntington Bank for helping us deliver that boost, and we can’t wait for locals and visitors to get out and experience everything our culinary scene has to offer June 18 to 27.”
Locations all over West Alabama are signing up to participate now, so check out TuscaloosaRestaurantWeek.com to see where to find delicious dishes and deep discounts.
