Old Dominion Booked for June Show at Tuscaloosa’s Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater
Old Dominion, one of county music's most dominant vocal groups, is coming to Tuscaloosa this summer for a show at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater.
Promoters announced the show on Wednesday morning and said the band will bring their How Good is That World Tour to the Amp on Friday, June 13th, joined by special guests Ernest and Redferrin.
Tickets for the Tuscaloosa show go on general sale next Friday, February 28th, although some fan-exclusive sales and giveaways will be held earlier next week. Their appearance here will be the fifth stop on a long world tour that will run through October.

In a press release promoting the tour, Old Dominion said they spent 2024 headline music festivals and decided this trip around the US and UK should focus on outdoor experiences at amphitheaters like Tuscaloosa's riverfront jewel.
“There’s something special about the energy when you’re outside,” says lead singer/guitarist Matthew Ramsey. “It’s a whole other vibe. When you’re out there under the stars, that energy amplifies everything we’re doing. So after a year of playing all the festivals, it was the only way to match that crazy energy.”
Described in a 2021 Rolling Stone article as "one of mainstream country music's most popular live groups," Old Dominion boasts nine all-time No. 1 singles on country radio, and last year, released "Odies but Goodies," a greatest hits compilation celebrating almost 20 years of music from the band.
Both opening acts are new-generation Nashville talent - Ernest exploded onto the scene and has just released his sophomore album and Redferrin is an up-and-coming singer songwriter.
The Wednesday announcement adds meat to the bones of the 2025 schedule at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater - the first full year booked by the city's new promoter, Dammy Wimmer Presents.
Super-popular comedian Theo Von is coming in April, former Beatles summer Ringo Star will be here on June 24th, and county megastar Blake Shelton has booked a show for October 17th.
