Neil Anderson Snipes (July 10th, 1950 – December 6th, 2025)

Neil Anderson Snipes, age 75, of Fosters, Ala., passed away December 6, 2025, at UAB Hospital.

Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Sylvan Methodist Church Cemetery in Fosters, Ala. with Bro. Jim Smith officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Snipes and Mary Hamner Snipes; brothers, Ricky Snipes, and James Abernathy; and sister, Mary Snipes.

Survivors include his daughter, Melinda Waldrop (Tim); sister, Brenda Snipes; grandchildren, Jessica Runnels, Roger Mason, Chelsea Rhea; Matthew Waldrop, and Kaleb Waldrop; and six great-grandchildren.

Neil lived all his life in the Tuscaloosa area with family roots in Fosters. He graduated from Holt High School in 1968. He retired from the IBEW - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Neil was an avid outdoorsman. His daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of his world, and he will be missed by many.

Pallbearers will be Roger Mason, Kaleb Waldrop, Matthew Waldrop, Camden Allison, Tim Waldrop, and Wardy Jacobs.

Honorary pallbearer: Rocky Jacobs.
