Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Traffic Reporter "Captain" Ray Allen says a truck hauling frozen chicken crossed the median and slammed into a bridge abutment around mile marker 32 of I 20/59. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is working to determine what caused the truck to deviate from its path, but there is substantial damage to the bridge as a result.

Traffic is being rerouted to US Highway 11. ALEA hopes to have the interstate reopened by 7 a.m.; however, motorists should anticipate delays throughout the morning.
