The Tuscaloosa County Road Improvement Commission has begun work to widen and beautify Jack Warner Parkway and Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.

Lane restrictions are now in place and will last through April 2 as construction crews work on the portion of Jack Warner Parkway that runs between 28th Avenue (now known as Nick's Kids Avenue) and Greensboro Avenue.

The construction is the initial phase of a $32 million dollar plan to upgrade Tuscaloosa's West End and is expected to take two years to complete.
