A few years ago, Winfield was hit hard with storms.

Back in March of 2022, Faunsdale Bar and Grill was pretty much destroyed after being hit by a storm in West Alabama.

However, no one can forget the tragic storms that ripped through Tuscaloosa back on April 27, 2011.

During those tragic tornadoes, 53 lives were lost in Tuscaloosa county. Of those 53 people, six were University of Alabama students and one was an employee of the University of Alabama.

This week, there was a storm system that passed through Eutaw, AL, also causing some significant damage.

The Kirkwood building in Eutaw was among the places reported damaged by the storms.

The video was filmed at the Loves gas station near Alabama state route 14 and interstate 20/59.

The huge funnel cloud was recorded by Steven Hendrickson.

Hendrickson says he was sitting at the intersection waiting on the storm to pass as the saw the clouds and storm start to pick up speed and move quicker.

He recalls being "mesmerized with how large and quickly the clouds were moving through."

If you have photos or video of damage from the Eutaw storms, feel free to send them to us via our free mobile app.
