UPDATE, 11:15 A.M.: Police say the fugitive was wanted for attempted murder in Greene County. U.S. Marshals will take him back there to face charges against him.

Tuscaloosa Police, their Special Response Team and federal agents are at the scene of a standoff with a barricaded suspect Friday morning.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, told local media that U.S. Marshals were in Tuscaloosa Friday morning to arrest a wanted suspect in the 2500 block of 10th Street East.

The man is refusing to surrender and is barricaded inside the residence, Taylor said, drawing a large police presence to the area.
