Tuscaloosa Police in Friday Standoff with Barricaded Fugitive
UPDATE, 9:40 A.M.: The suspect is now in custody -- more details are to follow from TPD.
Tuscaloosa Police, their Special Response Team and federal agents are at the scene of a standoff with a barricaded suspect Friday morning.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, told local media that U.S. Marshals were in Tuscaloosa Friday morning to arrest a wanted suspect in the 2500 block of 10th Street East.
The man is refusing to surrender and is barricaded inside the residence, Taylor said, drawing a large police presence to the area.
