Auburn Football Player Gives Back With NIL Funds
An Auburn football player is turning his success on the field into something bigger off the field.
Auburn defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford is using earnings from his Name, Image, and Likeness deals to launch a nonprofit designed to help families facing tough situations in his hometown, according to an article from WHNT News 19.
The nonprofit, called The Greedy House, was started by Crawford and his mother, Patsy, and recently launched in Birmingham. The organization is focused on creating a safe space for families and providing resources to those who need support.
Crawford said the mission behind the nonprofit comes from his own life experiences and the desire to give back to the community that helped shape him.
“I just want to give back and help people who may be going through things,” Crawford said, according to an article by WHNT News 19.
Instead of using NIL money only for personal gain, Crawford decided to invest part of those earnings into something that could help others. The nonprofit aims to support families dealing with financial struggles, housing challenges, and other hardships.

The Greedy House is expected to operate as a community hub, bringing together resources and support for people who may not always know where to turn for help.
The move also highlights a different side of NIL opportunities for college athletes. While many deals focus on endorsements and brand partnerships, Crawford is showing how those opportunities can also create real impact within local communities.
For Crawford, the goal is simple: use the platform football has given him to make a difference beyond the game.
Thanks to his NIL success, that mission is already underway.
