
Commercial Vehicle Fire Closes I-59 North in Tuscaloosa County Wednesday
Update, 4:30 p.m.: One lane on Interstate 59 northbound is open.
Northbound lanes of Interstate 59 in Tuscaloosa County are closed on Wednesday afternoon following a commercial vehicle fire.

The fire was reported at approximately 2:40 p.m. near the 97-mile marker, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Lanes are blocked for an undetermined amount of time.
Senior Trooper Jere K. Jensen said troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation.
