Funeral Set For Alabama Student Killed In Spain
Tuscaloosa's University of Alabama campus, as well as Elmhurst, Illinois, felt the impact of losing someone so young and full of life.
James Paul Gracey was on a spring trip to Barcelona earlier this month and did not return to Alabama.
His body was recovered in the sea near Barcelona.
Friends, classmates, and family have been in shock and are now dealing with tremendous grief.
Memorial services for Gracey have already been held in Tuscaloosa and Chicago, with funeral services now set for this Tuesday, March 31st, at Visitation Catholic Church in Elmhurst, Illinois.
It was March 17th when Gracey's family publicly asked for help to find him after he had not answered his phone.
He was set to graduate from Alabama next year, and he went to Barcelona with friends for Spring Break.
Last seen at 3 am on the 17th at Shoko nightclub on the beach in Port Olimpico.
Sources have confirmed to the Tuscaloosa Thread that some family members have questions about the finding of "accidental drowning".
The toxicology report is still being conducted.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from noon until 8 pm at the church in Elmhurst.
