1. Missouri Tigers

Missouri survived a scare at home against Vanderbilt in week four, winning in overtime 30-27. The Tigers advanced to 4-0 on the season, with a bye week in week five.

2. Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee earned a big win to silence some doubters. The Volunteers welcomed Oklahoma to the SEC with a 25-15 win in Norman. The Volunteers will be on a bye week before a road game at Arkansas on October 5.

3. Georgia Bulldogs

Georgia was on a bye-week in week four following a 13-12 win over Kentucky on the road in week three. The Bulldogs will travel to Tuscaloosa for a monumental matchup with the Crimson Tide on September 28.

4. Arkansas Razorbacks

The Razorbacks are keeping Sam Pittman's career alive thanks to a 24-14 win on the road at Auburn. Arkansas has a rivalry game on Saturday against Texas A&M.

5. LSU Tigers

The Tigers survived another scare last weekend, this one by a down UCLA team. In the end, the Tigers ran away with a 34-17 victory. LSU gets a Sun Belt cupcake this weekend, but South Alabama is led by a pair of former Crimson Tide staffers, so the Tigers can't sleepwalk this matchup.

6. Texas A&M Aggies

Something about SEC teams at home struggling with a group of five team. The Aggies squeaked by Bowling Green 26-20, which is not what they wanted heading into a rivalry matchup with Arkansas this Saturday.

7. South Carolina Gamecocks

South Carolina had a nice "get-right" game with a 50-7 win over Akron. The Gamecocks have a bye week to prepare for a tough matchup next weekend, welcoming the Ole Miss Rebels into Columbia on October 5.

8. Florida Gators

Florida went on the road and beat the one team in the SEC that might be worse than them: Mississippi State. A road win in the SEC is always nice, but winning 45-28 over Mississippi State won't happen every week. Florida's schedule will only get tougher, starting with an October 5 matchup with Gus Malzahn and UCF.

9. Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss also got a Sun Belt cupcake last weekend, and the Rebels handled their business with a 52-13 win over Georgia Southern. The Rebels will play their first conference game of the season this weekend against Kentucky.

10. Texas Longhorns

Even without starting quarterback Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning led the Longhorns to a 51-3 win over Louisiana Monroe. The Longhorns will play their first SEC game this weekend, hosting potentially the worst SEC team this season, Mississippi State.

11. Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama took a rest week to prepare for its opening SEC game. The Crimson Tide will host the Georgia Bulldogs this weekend in the most anticipated matchup of the season so far.

12. Oklahoma Sooners

The Oklahoma Sooners were welcomed into SEC play by the Tennessee Volunteers, and Oklahoma found out how tough the SEC can be, losing 25-15. The Sooners will still look for their first SEC win this weekend, but they have to go to Jordan-Hare Stadium and Auburn to do so.

13. Auburn Tigers

Auburn suffered another setback with a 24-14 loss at home to Arkansas. Auburn has good pieces in the program, but until Hugh Freeze quits throwing his quarterbacks under the bus, the Tigers could be in trouble. They'll try to return to the win column at home this weekend against Oklahoma, welcoming the Sooners to the SEC with their first road game.

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Vanderbilt could have pulled off one of the biggest wins in program history, but in the end, college kickers struck again, and Vanderbilt lost to Missouri in overtime 30-27. Vanderbilt's schedule won't get any easier, with a bye week before welcoming Alabama to Nashville on October 5.

15. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Mississippi State failed to defend its home turf against a Florida team that is essentially a dead program walking, 45-28. State's next test? The No. 1 team in the country, a road trip to Texas. State will be without starting quarterback Blake Shapen for the remainder of the season as well.

16. Kentucky Wildcats

Welcome back to the bottom of the bowl once again, Kentucky. The Wildcats righted the ship last weekend with a 41-6 win over Ohio, but they are currently the only team sitting at 0-2 in conference play, so despite having a better record than Mississippi State, they are behind the Bulldogs in the SEC Standings.

If the season ended today, the SEC Championship would be between the Missouri Tigers and the Tennessee Volunteers. Missouri would be the home team.
