Ryan Williams Signs Finger Polish Deal
Play-by-play and color analysts will have to find a new talking point for Alabama's wide receivers in 2025, with Ryan Williams turning 18 years old on February 9. While announcers across college football will still likely highlight Williams's age, one talking point ahead of several games in 2024 was Williams's fingernails. The superstar wideout lets his little sister paint his nails when his family arrives in Tuscaloosa to watch him ball out on Saturday afternoons in the fall.

His fingernails were a point of controversy among insecure Alabama fans last season, painting them Tennessee orange before Alabama's loss to the Volunteers on October 19, and purple, yellow, and green ahead of Alabama's big victory over LSU in Baton Rouge. Williams said the color was to signify that Mobile, Williams's hometown, is the home of Mardi Gras - not Louisiana.
The nail painting looks to be continuing for the now 18-year-old superstar in 2025, with Williams signing an NIL deal with Sally Hansen, a nail polish brand.
His NIL valuation according to On3 Sports is $2.3 million, the highest of any Alabama player in 2025, and No. 19 overall.
He is the second-highest-rated wide receiver in NIL, behind only Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith at four million dollars. Williams is the No. 15 overall college football player in NIL valuation in 2025.
Williams was a five-star wide receiver in the 2024 recruiting class after reclassifying from 2025, where he was the No. 1 recruit in the class. He signed with Alabama on February 9, his birthday, in 2024.
After arriving on campus in June 2024, Williams worked his way up the depth chart before making his first career start in his first career college football game. He was the leading receiver for Alabama as a 17-year-old true freshman, catching 48 passes for 865 yards and eight touchdowns.
