In a tightly contested game, the Crimson Tide emerged victorious with an 84-78 win, finishing their road trip with a split and improving their overall record to 16-2 and 3-1 in the SEC.

The Rebels started strong, launching a 7-0 run to establish an early lead. However, the Crimson Tide responded by outscoring the Rebels 14-10 in the final eight and a half minutes of the first quarter, narrowing the gap to three points at 17-14.

The teams exchanged leads multiple times, with the Rebels holding a narrow 24-23 advantage at the second-quarter media timeout. The Crimson Tide then rallied with an 8-0 run in the last three minutes of the half, heading into the locker room with a 31-27 lead.

Eager to build on their momentum, the Crimson Tide opened the third quarter with a 12-6 run, extending their lead to eight points at 43-35 by the first media timeout. They continued to find their rhythm, finishing the third quarter with a 13-9 run to take a 10-point lead at 56-46.

In the fourth quarter, the Crimson Tide's three-point shooting heated up, as they went 4-5 from beyond the arc. This performance contributed to a total of 12 three-pointers made, marking the eighth game this season in which they have hit 10 or more. Aaliyah Nye also shone, making seven threes for the third time this season, tying her for the NCAA lead in games with seven or more three pointers.

The Crimson Tide sealed their victory by scoring 10 points from the free-throw line in the final 1:56, clinching the game with a six-point margin at 84-78.

“I’m just really proud of the toughness that our kids show today. There was an amazing crowd and I appreciate everybody coming out to support SEC women's basketball. Ole Miss is a great team, but credit our kids. A lot of toughness, a lot of road grit today and I'm really proud of them,” said coach Kristy Curry following the win.

The Crimson Tide are set to host the reigning NCAA National Champions, No. 2 South Carolina, on Thursday, Jan. 12, at Coleman Coliseum. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT and will broadcast on SEC Network+.
