Alabama jumped out to an early lead, but Central Arkansas (1-7) fought back to tie it at 9-9. The teams remained neck-and-neck until the Tide managed to stretch their lead to 19-14 with four unanswered points. Although the Sugar Bears closed the gap to 20-19, Alabama held on to win the set 25-22.
