
Easterseals of West Alabama Names Dusty Wilder Permanent Executive Director
Easterseals of West Alabama has named Dusty Wilder as its permanent Executive Director after she spent five months leading the organization in an interim capacity.
The Board of Directors announced the appointment Wednesday, with Chairman Blake Burden citing Wilder's steady hand during a period of transition as central to the decision.

"Dusty has demonstrated exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and a deep commitment to our mission," Burden said. "She has gone above and beyond to ensure the continued success of our organization, earning the confidence and full support of the Board of Directors."
Wilder has been with Easterseals of West Alabama for 18 years. During her time as interim director, she expanded workforce development programs, secured new grant funding, strengthened community partnerships and improved operational efficiency. She maintains strong relationships with staff, community partners and the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services.
Leaders from Easterseals Alabama also supported the board's decision, citing her ability to strengthen staff morale, rebuild key partnerships and provide stability for the organization going forward.
"Her experience, passion, and proven leadership make her the right person to continue advancing our mission and expanding our impact across West Alabama," Burden said.
Easterseals of West Alabama provides services empowering children and adults with disabilities and other barriers to greater independence through workforce development, employment services, and community-based programs.
