When their trucks arrived on scene at 42nd Avenue Northeast shortly after, the house was already fully involved in the blaze.

The fire was mostly under control by 8:30, but the house suffered major damage. An ambulance was on scene Monday morning as a precautionary measure, but Whigham said firefighters do not currently believe anyone was injured in the incident.

The blaze comes just three days after a fire destroyed a reportedly abandoned residence on Holt's Coke Avenue Northeast Friday afternoon about a mile away from the Monday fire.

The causes of both fires are under investigation and it is too early to say if they were linked in any way.
